What an app project with MATROP includes

When you hire an app development company, you are not buying only the icon on the phone. A working business app has three parts. The first is the app your staff or customers install. The second is the server and database where every entry is saved, together with the admin panel your office uses to manage users, rates, products and reports. The third is the connection to whatever you already run, such as billing software, a school or hospital system, or your website.

MATROP PRIVATE LIMITED builds all three as one project from Ranchi. We plan the app, design the screens, build the Android app, the iOS app or both, write the server side and REST APIs, set up cloud hosting, test with your staff, publish from your store account, and maintain the app afterwards. If you are still unsure whether you need an app at all, first read app, mobile website or WhatsApp flow: which one you need. If the open question is Android, iPhone or both, see choosing the platform for a mobile application.

Apps we build for businesses and institutions

Most business apps fall into two groups, and many projects contain both.

  • Staff apps: attendance, field-force tracking, service visits, order booking by salesmen, delivery with proof, and QR-based checks. These are used every day by people who are away from a desk.
  • Customer apps: booking a slot or a pickup, placing an order, checking order status, paying, and receiving updates. These suit customers who come back often, not people who visit once a year.

Some apps are a phone window into software you already use. A school that keeps fees and attendance in its ERP, for example, may want parents to see those same records on a phone, not in a second database that someone has to update. Other apps are new from the ground up, with the admin panel and the app designed together. Both kinds are part of our custom software development work.

From idea to store release: the stages

Every project follows the same order. How long each stage takes depends on the size of the app, so dates are given in the written plan for your project, not on this page.

StageWhat happensWhat you receive
1. DiscoveryWe meet at our Ranchi office, at your site or online. We list who will use the app, what each person must finish on the phone, and what the office must see afterwards.Requirement notes, shared with you to correct.
2. Scope and planWe write the screens, user roles, data, the systems the app connects to, and what the first version will not include.A written scope and proposal with platforms, milestones and who holds the store accounts.
3. Screen designPhone screens are drawn, starting with the task people repeat most often.Screen designs to approve before coding starts.
4. DevelopmentThe app, server, admin panel and APIs are built module by module.Test builds you can try at each milestone.
5. TestingWe check functions, speed and security on several devices. Then your staff test on their own phones with real work.A list of issues found and fixed.
6. Store releaseThe app is submitted from the Google Play and Apple accounts owned by your organisation and goes through each store’s review. Internal staff apps may not need a public listing. The app live on the store, or installed on staff phones.
7. Go-live and trainingStaff and admin users are trained. The first week of real use is watched closely.Trained users and a named contact for problems.
8. Support and maintenanceBug fixes, small changes, updates for new Android and iOS versions, and backups.A support arrangement agreed in writing.

Store accounts should be in your organisation’s name, not the developer’s. Google and Apple set their own registration fees and rules, so check them on the Google Play Console help and Apple Developer Program pages. Our Android app development page explains the Play account in more detail.

The admin panel and server behind the app

The admin panel is where your office controls the app. A typical panel lets you add and block users, decide what each role can see, manage masters such as products, rates, routes or classes, view reports and export data. Changes are logged, so you can see who changed a rate or cancelled an order. Access is role-based: a delivery person does not see the owner’s sales report. Data is backed up on a schedule.

The server is also where other services plug in. Depending on the project, this can include SMS or WhatsApp alerts, online payment, maps and location, biometric attendance data, or the API of an ERP you already use. The same records then serve the app, the admin panel and, where needed, your website.

Connecting the app to your existing software or website

An app that keeps its own separate list of customers or stock creates double entry within weeks. Before any code is written, we check where your records live today: a MATROP product, another vendor’s software, a website with an order system, or Excel sheets. The scope then says which records the app reads, which it writes, and which system is the master copy.

The Kabadi case study shows this in practice. MATROP designed and developed thekabadi.com and the role-based operations platform behind it. Bookings made on the public site go into the same order pipeline used by the call centre and field teams. Pickup partners have their own view for assigned orders, status updates, weight capture and proof of collection, while warehouse, plant and admin teams each have separate logins.

Here is a smaller example of the same idea. A distributor’s salesmen visit shops in Ranchi, Ramgarh and Khunti. The salesman app books the order at the shop counter, the order appears in the office system for billing and dispatch, and the owner sees the day’s orders by route in the admin panel. Nobody re-types an order from a WhatsApp photo at night.

After release: what maintenance covers

An app is not finished on release day. Google and Apple release new phone software every year, the stores update their policies, and your own process changes. Maintenance usually covers these jobs:

  • Fixing bugs that users report, with the phone model and a screenshot.
  • Updating the app when a new Android or iOS version affects a screen, or when a store asks for a newer build.
  • Small changes such as a new field, a new report or a changed rate rule.
  • Server monitoring, backups, and renewal of hosting and domain.

Larger new features are scoped and quoted separately, so you decide whether they are worth it.

When MATROP may not be the right fit

  • If people only need to read about your business and call you, a mobile-friendly website is quicker and cheaper. An app adds store accounts and upkeep you do not need.
  • If you are building a game, a 3D or augmented-reality app, or a consumer social network for very large audiences, look for a studio that specialises in that.
  • If you want the lowest one-time price and no support later, a freelancer may quote less. In that case, make sure you receive the source code, the app signing keys and access to the store accounts.
  • If nobody in your organisation can spare time to answer questions and test, wait until someone can. Otherwise the app is built on guesses.

Before you call us

Write down who will use the app, the three or four things each person must do on it, and which software or website holds your records today. That is enough for a useful first meeting. If you are comparing several companies, our guide on how to choose a mobile application development company lists what to ask each of them. Frequently asked questions

MATROP Private Limited in Ranchi, Jharkhand builds all three parts of a business app: the Android or iOS app, the server and admin panel where data is stored and managed, and the connection to your billing software, school or hospital system, or website. One team handles the whole project, so nothing falls between two vendors. The work is on a company invoice, with training at go-live and support afterwards.

Yes. MATROP first writes down your requirement and makes a prototype of the screens for you to check, then builds the app module by module and shows you each part. Changes are made until you are satisfied, and after final testing the app goes live or is handed over only when you say yes.

A typical admin panel lets your office add and block users, set what each role can see, manage masters such as products, rates, routes or classes, view reports and export data. Changes are logged, so you can see who changed a rate or cancelled an order, and data is backed up on a schedule. MATROP Private Limited builds the admin panel alongside the app so both use the same records.

Google and Apple release new phone software every year, the stores update their policies, and your own process changes. Maintenance usually covers fixing reported bugs, updating the app when a new Android or iOS version or a store requirement affects it, small changes such as a new field or report, and server monitoring, backups and hosting renewal. Larger new features are scoped and quoted separately, so you decide whether they are worth it.

If you are building a game, a 3D or augmented-reality app, or a consumer social network for very large audiences, a studio that specialises in that work is a better fit than MATROP. If you want only the lowest one-time price with no support, a freelancer may quote less, but make sure you receive the source code, the app signing keys and access to the store accounts. MATROP focuses on business apps for staff and customers that connect to an organisation's records.
